Why would anyone who is retired, able to spend his time traveling, playing golf, hunting, fishing, why would he choose to spend his last days trying to encourage children to memorize the Ten Commandments?

Why? Because I believe America has lost its moral conscience. I do not believe American will change from the top down. Because I want to do what I can to save America for our children and grandchildren. I want to save the way of life I knew as a young man growing up in America. I want to save the free enterprise system that allows me to market whatever skills I have and provide for my family. I want my grandchildren to know America as I knew it. I want them to live in a world where a person's word is his bond...where the truth is cherished...where evil is checked and freedom reigns...where God is worshipped and friends are safe and comfortable from crooks who steal. I want safe neighborhoods...I want my grandchildren to live without the fear of predators who would violate their innocence.

I want leaders who believe in God, leaders who live by principle...not public opinion polls.

I want business leaders who are honest with their stockholders...people of integrity who will not violate the trust given to them to produce a profit. I want business people who do business the old-fashioned way...honestly.

I want to honor and respect real heroes...men and women of substance...not movie stars and sleazy rock stars with filthy mouths and nasty gestures as their trademarks.

I want to pledge allegiance to the flag along with people who love God and consider it a privilege to have been born and raised in the greatest, most blessed land the world has ever known.

I want God to be honored and Christ to be exalted and freedom for all Americans.

Is there such a place? There was such a place and it is possible to regain the glory of America if our children are given the challenge to know and to live by God's rules for life...the Ten Commandments. Somewhere in the mix there is a future President, 100 U.S. senators, more than 300 congressmen, nine Supreme Court Justices...the future CEO of Enron.

I want our children to understand that faith in God expresses itself by obedience. "If you love me, you will keep my commandments."

We cannot do it...but God can.

Why would a 77-year-old man spend his last days trying to challenge children to memorize and live by the Ten Commandments? Because I believe God's Word. "My Word will not return void...it will accomplish the purpose for which it is sent."

Why do I do what I do? I believe God's Word is His rock solid, absolute, 100 percent guaranty and assurance of victory for America's children.

Why do I do what I do? Because I am selfish. I want my grandchildren and your grandchildren to know America as I once knew it.
